Lewisham care home residents enjoy a refreshing morning in Dulwich Park

A group of five residents from HC-One’s Alexander Care Home in Lewisham, London, enjoyed a delightful outing to Dulwich Park, accompanied by Wellbeing Coordinator, Simon Peter, Senior Housekeeper, Sonia Paredes, and a supportive relative.

Setting off bright and early one sunny morning, the group was filled with anticipation and enthusiasm for a day outdoors. The journey to the park went smoothly, allowing everyone to make the most of the morning. With the weather warm and welcoming, the group indulged in refreshing ice creams, a much-loved treat that added to the joy of the day.

The visit offered residents a much-needed change of scenery, the chance to breathe in fresh air, and the opportunity to connect with nature. While exploring Dulwich Park, the group enjoyed its peaceful lakes, vibrant flower beds, and sightings of local wildlife.

Simon Peter, Wellbeing Coordinator at HC-One’s Alexander Care Home shared:

“It was such a simple but meaningful trip. The residents really appreciated the chance to get out, enjoy nature, and spend time together. We all came back feeling uplifted.”

The success of the outing has already sparked excitement for future trips. With spirits high and smiles all around, everyone is looking forward to the next visit, hopefully not too far away.
