
Residents and colleagues at HC-One Wales’s St Martin’s Court Care Home in Morriston, Swansea, were delighted to welcome Mike Hedges, MS for Swansea East, on Thursday 27th November as part of UK Parliament Week celebrations.
During his visit, Mr Hedges spent time chatting with residents and team members, learning more about daily life at the 67-bed home, which provides both nursing and residential care. He also toured the home’s facilities, including its tearoom, pub, café, cinema, hair salon, and beautifully maintained gardens.
The visit underlined the home’s commitment to nurturing meaningful connections and a true sense of belonging for everyone who lives and works there.
UK Parliament Week is held annually to encourage people across the UK to engage with democracy and understand how Parliament influences daily life. St Martin’s Court Care Home’s participation gave residents a meaningful opportunity to connect with their local representative and discuss issues that matter most to them.

“The redevelopment work has made the building look very welcoming.
