
HC-One’s Haywood Lodge Care Home, in Mappleborough Green, Studley, Warwickshire, is celebrating having received a glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Haywood Lodge is a 66-bed care home, which provides residential and residential dementia care services.
Haywood Lodge received ‘Good’ ratings in all five CQC categories: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-Led, reflecting the team’s dedication to delivering exceptional care. This demonstrates that the home is providing high standards of care for residents, indicating that the home is Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsible, and Well-Led.
The inspectors were full of praise for colleagues at Haywood Lodge. The report stated that Haywood Lodge had sufficient staff with the appropriate skills, knowledge, and experience to deliver high-quality care and mitigate risks to residents’ health and welfare.
Inspectors also commented on the home’s commitment to continuous improvement, with managers and colleagues using robust governance systems to ensure regulatory compliance and drive best practices. Regular audits and checks have been instrumental in enhancing colleague practices and improving residents’ experiences.
The report stated that residents receive their medicines as prescribed, including pain relief, and have access to healthcare professionals such as GPs, chiropodists, and dentists to maintain their well-being.
