Millcroft Care Home Welcomes Community to Weekly Chair Yoga SessionsMillcroft Care Home in Redditch, part of the HC-One family, is delighted to invite members of the local community to join its weekly Chair Yoga sessions, taking place every Thursday from 2pm to 3pm.

Led by Rebecca Watkins from Ebb and Flow, these gentle and accessible sessions are designed especially for older people, with no floor work or yoga mats required.

Chair yoga has a number of benefits for residents and visitors alike, from improving flexibility, mobility, and posture, to reducing stress, boosting mood, and enhancing overall wellbeing. The sessions also offer a chance to build confidence, encourage gentle movement, and enjoy the company of others in a safe and supportive environment. Attendees can also relax and chat over light refreshments afterwards, making it a sociable and uplifting weekly event.

As the home reflects on a summer of enjoyable activities, from garden gatherings to fun-filled social events, the Millcroft team is also looking ahead to the colder months. With Harvest Festival celebrations and other autumn activities on the horizon, residents and visitors alike can look forward to a calendar full of seasonal cheer, companionship, and community spirit.

Lyndsay Sard, Home Manager at HC-One’s Millcroft Care Home, said:

“We are always looking for ways to support the physical and emotional wellbeing of our residents, and our chair yoga sessions are a wonderful addition to our weekly programme. The exercises are gentle but effective, and the social aspect of coming together each week has already made a real difference. As we say goodbye to summer and look forward to the months ahead, activities like this help us to keep everyone active, engaged, and connected.”
