Mossdale Residence Care Home Hosts Heartwarming Valentine’s Tea Dance in Burnholme, YorkMossdale Residence Care Home in Burnholme, York, opened its doors to residents, families and friends this week for a joyful Valentine’s Tea Dance, celebrating love, friendship and community in true Mossdale Residence style.
 
With the home’s communal area transformed with Valentine’s-themed decorations and beautifully laid tables to create a festive and welcoming atmosphere. Residents and guests were treated to live entertainment from Trevor and Linda, who performed a compilation of romantic and classic Valentine’s-themed songs, filling the room with music and smiles.
 
Following the performance, guests enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea featuring an assortment of freshly prepared sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, tea, coffee and a celebratory glass of prosecco. The afternoon was enjoyed by all, with residents, families and staff coming together to share memories, laughter and conversation.
 
Mossdale Residence also ran a Valentine’s raffle, with the winner receiving a luxury hamper, adding an extra touch of excitement to the celebrations.
 
Pauline Hagan, Wellbeing Coordinator, said:
“Events like our Valentine’s Tea Dance are so important for our residents and their families. It’s wonderful to see everyone coming together, enjoying the music, food and company. The atmosphere was truly special.”

“We love creating meaningful experiences for our residents, and the Tea Dance was a lovely way to celebrate Valentine’s Day and the connections that mean so much to everyone here.”
