Residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Millbrook Care Home in Stalybridge, Tameside, were delighted to welcome
Jonathan Reynolds, MP for Stalybridge and Hyde, on Friday 28th November for a special visit as part of UK Parliament Week.
During his visit, Mr Reynolds spent time meeting residents and colleagues to learn more about life at Millbrook and the exceptional care provided at the 46-bed home, which offers both residential and residential dementia care.
Mr Reynolds enjoyed a tour of the home’s impressive facilities, including its hair salon, nail bar, quiet room, and a selection of premier ensuite bedrooms. Throughout his visit, he engaged in warm and meaningful conversations with residents, discussing their experiences and views on both local and national matters. He also learned more about the home’s commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and the wide range of activities designed to enrich residents’ daily lives.
The visit highlighted Millbrook’s strong community spirit and its dedication to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where residents feel valued and heard.
UK Parliament Week is an annual event that encourages people across the UK to engage with Parliament, learn more about how democracy works, and discover how they can play a part in shaping the future. Millbrook’s celebration of the week offered residents a unique opportunity to connect directly with their local MP and discuss the topics that matter most to them.
