MP Praises Warmth and Togetherness at Trafalgar Park Care Home

Residents and colleagues at HC-One Wales’s Trafalgar Park Care Home in Nelson, Treharris, received a special visit recently from Chris Evans, MP for Caerphilly, who spent time with the home’s close-knit community.

During his visit, Mr Evans explored the home’s welcoming facilities, including a café, hair salon, tearoom, pub, lounges, ensuite bedrooms, and the beautifully kept gardens. He also met residents and colleagues to learn more about the range of care and activities on offer across the home’s 52 beds, which provide residential, nursing, and dementia care.

The visit offered an uplifting experience for everyone, highlighting the strong sense of friendship, warmth, and community that defines life at Trafalgar Park.

Thomas Roche, Home Manager at Trafalgar Park, said:

“Welcoming Chris Evans to Trafalgar Park was an absolute pleasure. Our residents truly enjoy connecting with members of the local community, and it was wonderful to share our home with him. Visits like this really celebrate the togetherness and care that make Trafalgar Park so special.”

Chris Evans, MP for Caerphilly, commented:

“It was a pleasure to meet Thomas and members of his team to hear more about the services they offer to some of our older residents in Nelson and beyond.

“They work they do is often very emotionally, physically, and mentally demanding but they do what they do because they care so deeply about helping people.

“I want to wish them the very best for the future.”
