Residents at HC-One’s Bradley Hall Care Home in Leicester, Leicestershire, were treated to a truly unforgettable afternoon as The Wanderers, a unique singer-and-roller-skater duo, glided into the home to deliver a joyful and festive live performance of classic Christmas favourites.
The lively duo instantly energised the room, effortlessly skating around while singing, encouraging residents to clap, tap their toes, and share plenty of laughter. The combination of live vocals and impressive roller skating captured everyone’s attention and created a wonderful sense of excitement throughout the home.
Many residents joined in with the singing, while others simply enjoyed watching the dazzling performance unfold before them.
Mia King, Activities Co-ordinator at Bradley Hall Care Home, said:
“It was great, we all had so much fun from beginning to end. Everyone was up and clapping along! The residents loved that it was something different, and that the songs were from their era.”
Residents described the afternoon as nostalgic, uplifting, and deeply memorable.
Janet Doughty, a resident at Bradley Hall, shared:
“The music brought back so many happy memories of Christmas, and watching the skating was just wonderful!”
Another resident, Wendy Grundy, added:
“It was such a refreshing and uplifting performance. Seeing everyone dance and get involved was very special.”
