There were smiles all around at HC-One’s Coopers Croft Care Home in Stoke-on-Trent, on Friday 26th September, as residents, colleagues, and loved ones came together to celebrate resident Nancy Warren’s 100th birthday.
To mark the remarkable occasion, Nancy received a special birthday card from His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort – a treasured tradition for centenarians in the UK. The card was beautifully displayed during her celebration and was a highlight of the day for Nancy and her family.
The milestone was celebrated with a traditional afternoon tea, complete with sandwiches, cakes, and plenty of tea. Nancy was joined by her family, neighbours, and friends, who all gathered to mark this extraordinary moment in her life. Together, they shared stories, laughter, and fond memories, filling the home with warmth and joy.
Nancy, who was born in 1925, has lived through many significant milestones including working full time in a pharmacy and raising her daughter. She has been a much-loved member of the Coopers Croft community since joining the home, and her positive outlook on life continues to inspire those around her.
Speaking about her birthday, Nancy said:
“I feel very lucky to have reached 100 and to have so many wonderful people around me. The card from The King was such a lovely surprise, and it’s been a truly special day.”
