HC-One’s Newfield Lodge Care Home in Castleford, West Yorkshire, is embracing the festive spirit this December with a fun-filled Elf Day celebration on Wednesday 3rd December, all in aid of supporting local families in need.
Colleagues at Newfield Lodge will be donning their best elf costumes and donating £1 each to take part in the festivities. Throughout the day, the home’s very own band of cheeky elves will be spreading joy, and a little mischief, around the care home to entertain Residents and visitors.
To boost fundraising, delicious buns will also be on sale, with guests encouraged to donate what they can. All money raised will be donated to Airedale Food Bank, who will select a local family to receive support this Christmas, including providing a full Christmas dinner.
Lauren Poole, Activities Coordinator at HC-One’s Newfield Lodge Care Home, said:
“Christmas is a hard time of year for some people, so we want to support local families and make it magical. As a home, we want to spread Christmas cheer within our community and help people in need.”
Newfield Lodge Care Home is proud to give back to the Castleford community and hopes the fundraiser will bring comfort and joy to a family who may otherwise struggle during the festive season.
