Pampering, Good Food and Fitness: A Fabulous Day at Larkhill Hall Care HomeResidents at HC-One’s Larkhill Hall Care Home in West Derby, Liverpool, have been treated to a day filled with relaxation, delicious food, and invigorating exercise – all designed to promote wellbeing, confidence, and social connection.
 
The morning began with a pamper session where several of our ladies enjoyed having their nails freshly painted. Nail care and pampering activities are always popular at Larkhill Hall, as they not only help residents feel good about their appearance but also support mental wellbeing by boosting self-esteem, encouraging social interaction, and providing a sense of relaxation.
 
Afterwards, residents gathered for a traditional roast dinner, freshly prepared by the home’s catering team. Shared mealtimes are an important part of life at Larkhill Hall, offering residents the chance to enjoy nutritious food together while maintaining routines that feel both familiar and comforting.
 
The afternoon was full of energy as fitness instructor Carla from Carla fitness led an engaging exercise session. Residents enthusiastically joined in, with smiles and laughter filling the room. Regular group exercise is encouraged at Larkhill Hall as it has a wide range of benefits – from improving mobility, balance, and strength to supporting cognitive function and reducing feelings of isolation. The lively atmosphere created by Carla ensures every resident feels motivated and included.
 
It was truly a fabulous day at Larkhill Hall, filled with laughter, relaxation, and a strong sense of community.
