Residents at Hayes care home rock around the clock with fifties-themed show

Residents at HC-One’s Aston House Care Home in Hayes, Middlesex, were transported back in time as they enjoyed an uplifting and nostalgic afternoon of music and dancing with the live performance of Rock Around The Clock by RahRah productions.

The 1950s themed show had residents singing along and dancing to classic rock’n’roll hits, with many describing the experience as a joyful trip down memory lane.

For some, it was a powerful reminder of their teenage years, when rock’n’roll first burst onto the scene and captured the hearts of a generation. The show received high praise from residents, who were thoroughly entertained and expressed how much they enjoyed the upbeat atmosphere.

Addvin Fernandes, HC-One’s Aston House Care Home’s Wellbeing Coordinator, said:

“Music has always been a part of their lives. It’s a great way to reminisce and can bring back long-forgotten memories.

“We continue to provide engaging and meaningful activities that enhance the wellbeing of our residents. Live entertainment like this not only lifts spirits but also helps residents stay socially connected and mentally stimulated.”

Doris Range, HC-One’s Aston House Care Home resident, added:

“It was a great laugh—we all had so much fun and wished it had lasted longer! To my surprise, the show was much better than I expected. I really enjoyed it!”
