Residents at The Birches Care Home in Crieff, Perthshire, part of HC-One Scotland, enjoyed a memorable celebration yesterday as they came together to mark Burns Night with a traditional lunchtime supper, honouring Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns.
The day was filled with laughter, music, and the delicious aromas of Scottish cuisine. Residents and staff gathered to enjoy classic Burns Night fare, including haggis, neeps, and tatties, accompanied by festive drinks and lively conversation.
A standout moment was when resident Dorothy Young delivered the Address to the Haggis, a stirring performance that captured the attention and admiration of everyone present. Her recitation was met with warm applause, making the celebration even more special.
