Residents Enjoy a “Proper Movie Night” at Adelaide House Care Home in Walton-on-Thames

Residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Adelaide House Care Home in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, recently enjoyed a special “Proper Movie Night,” bringing the magic of the cinema right into the heart of their home.

The lounge was transformed into a cosy mini cinema, complete with soft lighting, comfortable seating, and a big screen ready to roll. The featured film of the evening was the beloved classic The Fugitive, which kept everyone entertained from start to finish.

No movie night would be complete without delicious snacks and refreshments, and the Adelaide House team made sure residents were treated to a true feast. The spread included buttery popcorn, nachos with dips, mini tuna cupcakes, chips, and even a homemade cherry pie for those with a sweet tooth. Drinks ranged from fizzy sodas and fruit juices with a hint of alcohol, to warm cups of tea, coffee, and indulgent hot chocolate, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.

The atmosphere was filled with laughter, conversation, and the shared excitement of experiencing a film together. For residents, it wasn’t just about watching a movie, it was about the joy of community, connection, and shared moments that make Adelaide House such a special place to call home.
