HC-One’s Elworth Grange Care Home in Sandbach, residents and colleagues have been making the most of the late summer sunshine with a series of wonderful trips aboard the Wheely Boat at
Overwater Marina in Audlem.
Residents were treated to glorious weather, perfect for enjoying a picnic on board as they cruised the tranquil waters. September brought a breezy autumnal charm, with the group retreating to the cosy warmth of Café at Bridge 80 for a hearty meal before heading back out to enjoy the sunshine when it made a welcome appearance.
Each trip was a resounding success, offering residents the chance to relax, take in the scenery, and learn fascinating facts about the canal and surrounding area. The outings were equally enjoyed by colleagues, who shared in the laughter, stories, and sense of adventure.
The care home team extends heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and colleagues who helped make the trips possible. The positive feedback from residents means that these outings are sure to remain a highlight on the activity calendar.
As the cooler months approach, the home is preparing for autumn events including the much-anticipated Harvest Festival, offering residents the chance to participate in seasonal celebrations and remain active and engaged.
