
Residents from HC-One’s Stoneleigh Care Home in Stanley, County Durham stepped into the festive spirit as they attended the village’s eagerly anticipated Christmas light switch-on event.
Wrapped up warm in cosy coats and cheerful festive hats, residents gathered with excitement as the community came together to watch the village sparkle to life. The evening was filled with Christmas cheer, bringing joy and connection to all who attended.
Local schoolchildren set a heart-warming tone with their beautiful renditions of traditional carols, while the much-loved Craghead Brass Band added to the magic with seasonal favourites that had residents smiling, tapping along and reminiscing about Christmases past.
No festive outing would be complete without a treat, and residents enjoyed delicious mince pies accompanied by hot tea – the perfect way to stay warm while soaking up the celebrations.
