Residents and the local community were treated to a magical festive morning when Santa Claus paid a special visit to HC-One’s Launton Grange Care Home in Bicester on Sunday 14 December.
Launton Grange opened its doors to 15 children from the local area and their families, welcoming them into a Christmas grotto filled with festive cheer. The children were greeted on arrival by Launton Grange’s very own elf, Activities Co-ordinator Dot Cox, who helped keep spirits high with festive chocolates while they waited excitedly to meet Santa.
Each child was then led into the grotto by the elf for a dedicated 10-minute slot with Santa, giving them the chance to share their Christmas wishes. Many children had lovingly written letters, which they proudly read aloud to Santa during their visit, much to the delight of residents who enjoyed seeing the festive excitement unfold.
Annie Merry, Front of House Manager at Launton Grange Care Home, said:
“A huge thank you to Little Red Trolley Entertainment for providing such an exceptionally professional Santa, who was absolutely fantastic with both the children and our residents. The morning was filled with festive fun, and we’re so glad we were able to spread some Christmas cheer to our community this year.”
Dot Cox, Activities Co-ordinator at Launton Grange, added:
“What a great morning. There were so many happy children and residents. I love making everyone laugh and smile, and it was wonderful to see so much joy shared together.”
The festive visit formed part of Launton Grange’s ongoing commitment to bringing residents and the local community together, creating meaningful moments and spreading seasonal cheer.
