Sedgley Court Care Home Spreads Festive Cheer and Community Spirit Across DudleyHC-One’s Sedgley Court Care Home in Dudley has been embracing the true spirit of Christmas with a heart-warming programme of community initiatives and festive activities throughout December.

Residents and team members kicked off the season by joining the celebrations at the Russells Hall Hospital Market & Light Switch-On, where they enjoyed joyful carol singing alongside hospital staff, visitors, and local families. Residents also took great delight in browsing the Christmas stalls, with some even treating themselves to special seasonal gifts to mark the occasion.

As part of their ongoing commitment to supporting local causes, Sedgley Court also took part in the Dudley Group NHS Charity Christmas Jumper Day Appeal on 11 December. The home encouraged everyone to wear their brightest and most festive knitwear to help raise funds for the charity’s vital work.

In addition, residents, families, and colleagues at the home have generously contributed to the Ward C2 Children’s Wish List, selecting around 30 tags from the charity gift tree. These thoughtful donations will help bring comfort and joy to young patients spending Christmas at Russells Hall Hospital.

Team Sedgley Court has also supported the Shoebox Appeal, preparing boxes filled with essential items and festive treats for those in need. These, along with all other contributions, will be delivered to the Dudley Group NHS Charity at Russells Hall Hospital in time for Christmas.

These initiatives form part of Dudley Council’s Civic Engagement Programme, reflecting Sedgley Court’s dedication to strengthening community partnerships and spreading kindness throughout the festive season.

Sedgley Court Care Home is proud to stand alongside the Dudley community in helping make Christmas a little brighter for those who need it most.
