HC-One’s Snapethorpe Hall Care Home in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, was delighted to host a calming and restorative wellbeing experience, generously delivered by TEMPLESPA consultant Nikki Buckberry. The session, offered in support of Alzheimer’s Society, provided residents and colleagues with a peaceful moment of relaxation, reflection, and self-care.
The wellness workshop, kindly arranged with the help of Bev Haile, relative of a resident, featured a soothing combination of self-administered facial treatments, guided breathing exercises, and moments of quiet mindfulness. Nikki also offered hands-on massages to both residents and staff, enhancing the therapeutic impact of the session.
Delivered in two parts, one for residents wishing to take part and one dedicated to colleagues, the experience introduced participants to expert skincare advice and the practical use of TEMPLESPA’s 100% natural products. Held in a warm and welcoming space, the event created a truly tranquil atmosphere.
In total, around 23 people attended, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Residents expressed joy and relaxation following their spa session, while colleagues were so impressed that many requested further information on how to purchase the products for their own continued wellbeing at home.
To add to the uplifting experience, a mini raffle was held for all participants at the end of the session.
Daniela Manea, Wellbeing Coordinator at Snapethorpe Hall Care Home, said:
“Our residents were absolutely delighted with the spa session, and it created such a calm and warm atmosphere throughout the home. We are truly grateful to Nikki for sharing her time, expertise, and positivity with us.”
Thanks to the success of the event, Snapethorpe Hall Care Home is now exploring opportunities to make wellness sessions a regular monthly feature for both residents and colleagues.
