
Residents of Springfield House Care Home in Low Fell, Gateshead, enjoyed an inspiring day trip to the Glass Museum in Sunderland, where they were amazed by the intricate details and vibrant colours of the exhibits.
The visit delighted the ladies of Springfield House, with many expressing their admiration for the artistry and craftsmanship on display. Jean Allen, one of the residents, was particularly captivated by the museum, saying she “didn’t want to leave” and found the experience “lovely and very interesting.”
After exploring the museum, the group headed to the coast for a classic British treat – fish and chips – which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The outing provided a perfect combination of culture, conversation, and culinary delight.
