Ashbourne Lodge Care Home in Ashbrooke and Falstone Court Care Home in Roker are celebrating success after residents and relatives voted them as two of the Top 20 recommended care homes in the North East in the Carehome.co.uk Awards 2026. This marks Falstone Court Care Home’s third and Ashbourne Lodge Care Home’s seventh consecutive year in the prestigious Top 20 Carehome.co.uk Awards for the North East.
Carehome.co.uk, the UK's leading care home directory and comparison website, held its annual Care Home Awards to recognise the 20 top-rated care homes in each region of the UK. Based on individual review scores from residents, and their friends, family and loved ones, the awards demonstrate real life opinions and first-hand experiences from those most closely connected to the home.
Ashbourne Lodge received an overall rating of 9.9/10 and Falstone Court received an overall rating of 10/10 based on independent reviews, in recognition of the high standards of care provided at the homes. Ashbourne Lodge provides residential and residential dementia care and Falstone Court provides residential dementia services for the local community.
