Surrey Care Home Residents Embrace Adventure with NAPA Passport Project

Adelaide House Care Home in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, part of HC-One, has been celebrating the joy of travel through its innovative NAPA Passport Making and Travel Sharing Experiences initiative.

For many, a passport is more than just a document, it is a symbol of adventure, possibility, and cherished memories. At Adelaide House, this idea has been brought to life with residents, families, and colleagues coming together to create their own “passports” and share their favourite travel stories.

The home has hosted a variety of themed activities, from storytelling sessions to cultural food experiences, allowing residents to revisit their most memorable journeys. Laughter filled the room as individuals recalled unforgettable trips, the best cuisines they had tried, and the joy of discovering new places. Each personal story and handmade passport became a celebration of life’s adventures.

These activities not only provide fun and entertainment but also create meaningful connections, linking residents to the wider world and keeping the spirit of exploration alive.

Ghody John Dano, Wellbeing Coordinator at HC-One’s Adelaide House Care Home, said:

“At Adelaide House, we believe every journey is worth remembering and every story worth sharing. The NAPA Passport initiative has given our residents the chance to relive their happiest travel memories and create new ones together as a community.”

Whether through real travel or shared experiences, the initiative has shown that the journey always begins with a passport, and the adventure is in the memories we make along the way.
