Summer is in full swing as HC-One’s Hambleton Grange Care Home in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, are inviting the local community to its Summer Fair that will take place on Saturday, August 16, from 2pm to 4pm.
This year’s fair promises to be a lively and heartwarming afternoon for the whole family, with a wide range of activities, stalls, and entertainment. From traditional games to homemade cakes and unique prizes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Residents, relatives and members of the community can enjoy the chance to win some fabulous raffle prizes, including family tickets to Thirsk Sculpture Park, entry to The World of James Herriot, a cosy cinema and popcorn experience, original artwork by a local artist and more.
Little ones will be kept entertained with a fun fishing game, the delightful barn tub lucky dip, and guess the name of the cuddly toy. Eventgoers can try their luck at classic fair fun games, such as tombola, roll and win, and the roulette spinning wheel.
They can also enjoy a delicious selection at the cake stall, and drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. Handcrafted goodies will also be on offer as attendees browse greeting cards lovingly made by Hambleton Grange residents and admire the stunning flower arrangements by Theresa Bourke.
Elaine Snowden, HC-One’s Hambleton Grange Care Home Lifestyle Manager, said:
