Thorn Springs Care Home to Host ‘Wear It Pink’ Day in Support of Breast Cancer Now

HC-One’s Thorn Springs Care Home in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, is proud to once again take part in ‘Wear It Pink Day’ in support of Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s leading breast cancer charity.

On Friday 24th October, the home will be turning pink as residents, colleagues, and visitors don their brightest pink outfits to raise awareness and vital funds for the charity.

The day’s events will begin at 11am and run until 1pm, with a coffee morning and cake sale, where guests are warmly invited to join the Thorn Springs community for a delicious selection of cakes and refreshments. Donations raised throughout the event will go directly to Breast Cancer Now, helping to fund life-changing research and support for those affected by breast cancer.

In the afternoon, visitors can continue to enjoy sweet treats, as cakes will be available for sale in the home’s reception area. Everyone is welcome to stop by, purchase a cake, and contribute to this meaningful cause.

Thorn Springs also proudly supports Breast Cancer Now’s Bra Bank initiative, located in the reception area. The home invites members of the local community to drop off any unwanted bras, which the charity recycles to raise further funds for its work.

The Thorn Springs team extends their love, faith, and hope to anyone affected by breast cancer and wishes to remind the community that they are always there for support and friendship.

Thorn Springs is one of over 280 kind and cosy HC-One care homes across the UK, providing the kindest care to older people. This autumn, new residents can take advantage of a special welcome offer, enjoying 4 weeks for the price of 3 when joining before 30th November 2025.
