Chilly weather was no match for the warmth of friendship and joy shared during a recent day trip by residents from HC-One’s Adelaide House Care Home. Five residents wrapped up in cosy jackets and blankets were taken for a scenic and spirit-lifting outing to Walton’s High Street and riverside.
The trip included a hearty and welcoming lunch at The Swan, where residents were treated to delicious meals, friendly service, and plenty of good conversation. The group also visited The Conscious Art Gallery, a pop-up space filled with creative and inspiring artwork that sparked thoughtful discussion and appreciation.
Archie Gascon, HC-One’s Adelaide House Deputy Care Home Manager, said:
“Our residents had a truly special day. It’s outings like these that enrich lives, create lasting memories, and reflect our commitment to person-led care.
“A big thank you to the team at The Swan for their warm hospitality and to our wonderful residents, whose spirit and smiles made the day unforgettable. We look forward to planning more summer adventures that support wellbeing, independence, and joyful moments.”
Residents also enjoyed a peaceful moment by the river, feeding ducks and taking in the tranquil views.
