
HC-One’s Windsor Court Care Home in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, welcomed members of the local community this week for a special Dementia Friendly Community Coffee Morning. The event, held on Tuesday 23 September, provided a warm and inviting environment for residents and visitors alike to enjoy tea, coffee, and a selection of delicious cakes.
Every Tuesday at 11am, Windsor Court opens its doors to the community, offering residents and visitors the chance to connect over refreshments and conversation. Each week, a unique activity accompanies the coffee morning, promoting engagement, wellbeing, and fun.
At the Dementia Friendly Community Coffee Morning, resident Liz Ness hosted a dementia friendly quiz, designed to stimulate the mind and encourage social interaction. Laughter and good-natured banter filled the room as residents and visitors alike joined in the quiz activities.
The Community Coffee Morning at Windsor Court is open to everyone, offering a friendly space for conversation, activities, and, of course, delicious cakes.
As autumn approaches, the team is preparing for cosy seasonal events, including the Harvest Festival, ensuring that the coming months are filled with warmth, connection, and joy for all.
