Nine HC-One Colleagues from care homes and support teams across the York and Humberside region have been shortlisted as finalists by the judging panel at the Great British Care Awards 2022, Regional Awards for the York and Humberside region.
The highly esteemed awards recognise those individuals who deliver the best industry practice, leadership, innovation, adaptability and dedication. The finalists have been selected due to demonstrating that they go above and beyond their duties to deliver excellence in social care.
HC-One’s finalists for the Great British Care Awards 2022, Regional Awards for the York and Humberside region are:
• James Senior, Housekeeper at Priory Gardens Care Home, finalist in The Ancillary Worker Award Category
• Megan Harding, Bank Worker at Carr Gate Care Home, finalist in The Care Newcomer Award Category
• Lisa Bailey, Wellbeing Coordinator at The Oakes Care Home, finalist in The Care Home Activity Organiser Award Category
• Kim Quean, Wellbeing Coordinator at Windsor Court Care Home, finalist in The Care Home Activity Organiser Award Category
• Stephanie Clarke, Carer at Snapethorpe Hall Care Home, finalist in The Care Home Worker Award Category
• Kay Oldroyd, Care Assistant/Housekeeper at The Denby Care Home, finalist in The Care Home Worker Award Category
• Nandi Khosa, Clinical Unit Manager at Carr Gate Care Home, finalist in The Social Care Nurse Award Category
• Liz Whyte, COVID-19 Lead at HC-One, finalist in The Social Care Covid Hero Award Category
• Alex Tomlinson-Wood, Head Chef at Carr Gate Care Home, finalist in The Care Home Cook/Chef Award Category

The Great British Care Awards consist of 23 awards, which cover a wide range of areas of the social care sector. The awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of distinction across the care sector. The awards pay tribute to those who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their area of work. The award ceremony of the Great British Care Awards 2022, Regional Awards for the York and Humberside region takes place at the Leeds Armouries on Friday 11th November 2022 when the winners will be announced. Successful winners of the York and Humberside regional awards will progress to the national finals of the Great British Care Awards 2023 taking place on Friday 17th March 2023 at the ICC in Birmingham.
