Six remarkable HC-One Colleagues shortlisted for awards at the Great British Care Awards - RegionalSix HC-One Colleagues from care homes across the South East region of England have been shortlisted as finalists by the judging panel at the Great British Care Awards - Regional Awards for the South East region and The Social Care Leadership Awards 2022. 

The Great British Care Awards pay tribute to those who have achieved outstanding accomplishments within their area of work and celebrate excellence across the care sector. 

The Social Care Leadership Awards recognise excellence in leadership in the social care sector. The awards provide an opportunity to showcase excellence in senior leadership.

HC-One’s finalists for the Great British Care Awards - Regional Awards for the South East region and The Social Care Leadership Awards 2022 are:

•    Julie Kean, Registered General Nurse and Deputy Clinical Lead Manager; Joy Pacificador, Registered General Nurse and Ann Boakye, Registered General Nurse at Elstree Court Care Home, finalists in The Social Care Nurse Award Category at the South East Region of the Great British Care Awards 2022

The three finalists have been shortlisted in this award category as they have all promoted the physical, emotional, psychological and social health of Residents living at Elstree Court Care Home as well as demonstrated how their nursing skills have integrated with social care.

•    Chloe Catherine Oliver, Health Care Assistant at Elstree Court Care Home, finalist in The Care Home Worker Award Category at the South East Region of the Great British Care Awards 2022

Chloe has been recognised as a finalist at these awards due to her work as a Health Care Assistant at Elstree Court Care Home, as she shows dedication, adaptability, alertness, responsiveness, uses her initiative, shows interest in her career and personal development, and works well as part of a close team of Colleagues to provide high quality care to Residents.  

Chloe provides an excellent personalised service to Residents by putting in the extra effort and going the extra mile to accommodate their wishes and needs, respecting their privacy and dignity, helping them to be more independent wherever possible and involving them and their loved ones in the development of their care plans.

•    Zore Moshref, Wellbeing Coordinator at Elstree Court Care Home, finalist in The Social Care Covid Hero Award Category at the South East Region of the Great British Care Awards 2022
Zore considers herself to be professional, dependable, considerate, and hard-working and has an excellent understanding of regulations and compliance in the work she carries out at HC-One. Zore has gone above and beyond during the COVID-19 crisis. She has shown creativity, innovation and a flexible approach. Zoe has demonstrated selflessness, dedication and a commitment to maintaining the safety, physical and emotional wellbeing of Residents and her Colleagues.

•    Yolanda De Castro, Home Manager at Elstree Court Care Home, finalist in The Clinical Nurse Manager Award Category at The Social Care Leadership Awards 2022

This award recognises talent and influential workers in the clinical nursing sector. As Home Manager at Elstree Court Care Home, Yolanda achieved the prestigious NVQ Level 5 Management qualification. She has 20 years of invaluable social care experience as a Registered Nurse and has consequently developed a wealth of experience in the provision of nursing support and care.

Yolanda is passionate in delivering the highest standard in care, this is self-evident in her track record for motivating people to reach their full potential and more.

Yolanda is one of two HC-One finalists at The Social Care Leadership Awards 2022. The winners of the Social Care Leadership Awards 2022 will be announced at a Gala Awards ceremony taking place on Wednesday 19th October 2022 at The London Marriot Hotel Grosvenor Square. 
The Great British Care Awards consist of 23 awards, which cover a wide range of areas of the social care sector. The awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of distinction across the care sector. The awards pay tribute to those who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their area of work. The award ceremony of the Great British Care Awards 2022, Regional Awards for the South East region of England takes place at the Hilton Brighton Metropole Hotel in Brighton on Friday 18th November 2022 when the winners will be announced. Successful winners at the South East regional awards will progress to the national finals of the Great British Care Awards 2023 taking place on Friday 17th March 2023 at the ICC in Birmingham.
