HC-One shortlisted as finalists for an outstanding nine awardsHC-One and eight HC-One Colleagues and teams across the North East and North Yorkshire regions of England, have been shortlisted as finalists across a variety of award categories by the judging panel at The Northern Echo Health and Care Awards 2022 in partnership with County Durham Care Partnership.

The Northern Echo Health and Care Awards, in conjunction with County Durham Care Partnership, are running for the second consecutive year, and are the culmination of a search to find the very best examples of excellence across the North East and North Yorkshire regions within the health and care sectors. The awards celebrate and recognise those who have gone the extra mile, shining a spotlight on those who richly deserve credit who have risen to the challenges presented by the global COVID-19 pandemic, overcoming adversity, showing strength, bravery, kindness, compassion and tenacity to serve their local communities, continuing to put others first. 

The finalists were carefully chosen in recognition of their hard work and kind care shown to Residents, Relatives and Colleagues as well as the dedication and passion they show day-to-day to ensure the people they support receive the best quality care. 

HC-One’s finalists for The Northern Echo Health and Care Awards 2022 in partnership with County Durham Care Partnership 2022 are:

• HC-One, finalist in the Healthcare Employer of the Year Award Category.
• Professor Graham Stokes, Director of Dementia Care Services at HC-One, finalist in the Outstanding Achievement Award Category.
• Lawra Baumane, Quality of Life Specialist at HC-One, finalist in the Care Hero Award Category.
• Jill Carr, registered Home Manager at Lothian House and Tenlands Care Home, finalist in the Care Hero Award Category.
• The team at Jack Dormand Care Home, finalist in The Palliative Carer of the Year Category.
• Laura Langridge, Home Manager at Beaconsfield Court Care Home, finalist in The Care Home Worker of the Year Award Category.
• Kinga Kowaliczek, Home Manager at Greenways Court Care Home, finalist in The Care Home Worker of the Year Award Category.
• Nicola Howarth, Chef at Tenlands Care Home, finalist in The Care Home Worker of the Year Award Category.
• The team at Defoe Court Care Home, finalist in the Health Care Team of the Year Award Category.


The Northern Echo Health and Care Awards 2022 ceremony will be hosted by Wendy Gibson and is due to be held as a virtual online event taking place on the evening of Thursday 28th April 2022, when the winners will be announced and receive a special trophy.
