HC-One shortlisted for a ‘Special Award’ at the NAPA Member Activity Awards 2022HC-One are delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist for a ‘Special Award’ at the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) Member Activity Awards 2022.

This year marks the ninth anniversary of the Activity Awards from the UK’s leading activity and engagement charity. The Member Awards celebrate the amazing contributions made by individuals and teams working in, or with, the care sector who show outstanding expertise, dedication, and commitment in delivering wellbeing activities to others to enhance their quality of life.

The ‘Special Award’ will be awarded to an organisation who has demonstrated outstanding practice in a particular area of engagement. HC-One were selected as a finalist in this award category due to their year-round commitment to this specific area of engagement. Examples of initiatives and activities HC-One homes have been involved with this year include being involved in the BT Care Home Companion initiative where volunteers from BT have regular phone call conversations with Residents to tackle loneliness and isolation; intergenerational projects including penpal initiatives to build relationships between younger and older generations and Burns Gym virtual exercise classes for Residents where Residents can keep fit, active and mobile participating in the armchair exercise classes.

HC-One representatives will be attending a virtual finalists’ event on Friday 16th September to celebrate and congratulate all of those who have been successful in being shortlisted as a finalist at the awards. The award winners will be announced, and will receive their trophy, at an online ceremony on Friday 7th October 2022.

We are excited to celebrate this achievement with Colleagues and Residents by attending the National Activity Providers Association virtual finalists’ event and awards ceremony.
