Two HC-One Colleagues shortlisted for awards at the Great British Care Awards 2022, Regional AwardsTwo HC-One Colleagues from care homes across the East of England have been shortlisted as finalists by the judging panel at the Great British Care Awards 2022, Regional Awards for the East of England region. 

The awards acknowledge the hard work of the two HC-One finalists and other individuals who have shown outstanding excellence within their area of work including the social care sector, whether it be older people, specialist care services, home care, residential, nursing or dementia care.  

HC-One’s finalists for the Great British Care Awards 2022, Regional Awards for the East of England region are:

•    Evelyn Agbeko, Turnaround Manager at HC-One, finalist in The Frontline Leaders Award Category 

Evelyn is a Turnaround Manager at HC-One, and she shows unparalleled kindness and this impacts on every aspect of her work in HC-One’s Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. 
Evelyn takes responsibility for her delegated duties to ensure the smooth running of the homes in her area which includes performance development reviews for all Colleagues. She also audits care plans, medications, and care documentation so that the homes meet the safeguarding, health and safety and statutory legal requirements. She is a Registered Nurse and has a wealth of experience including recruiting, leading, and managing the team, mentoring, and developing others. 

•    Maisie Ali, Lead Wellbeing Coordinator at River Court Care Home, finalist in The Activity Coordinator Award Category 

Maisie is a hardworking team leader who always dedicates herself to River Court. Through thick and thin, she stands firm and gives her best to provide optimum service.
Maisie has a very charming and bubbly nature which can be clearly seen in the way she works. She has an energy about her which breeds positivity in all that she does. A proper team leader who has always demanded the best from her team.

The Great British Care Awards consist of 23 awards, which cover a wide range of areas of the social care sector. The awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of distinction across the care sector. The awards pay tribute to those who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their area of work. The award ceremony of the Great British Care Awards 2022, Regional Awards for the East of England region takes place at the Milton Keynes Dons on Friday 4th November 2022 when the winners will be announced. Successful winners at the East of England regional awards will progress to the national finals of the Great British Care Awards 2023 taking place on Friday 17th March 2023 at the ICC in Birmingham.
