Christina, a Resident at HC-One’s Fir Trees care home in Dukinfield, Tameside didn’t want a big fuss for her 80th birthday, so the team arranged a lovely day out.
When Christina told the team at Fir Trees that she wouldn’t like a party to celebrate her birthday, Wellbeing Coordinator Karolina arranged a day out in Stalybridge where Christina used to live.
Karolina and Christina enjoyed a stroll around which brought back lots of happy memories for Christina, she pointed out a pub where she used to work and some of her favourite shops and spots in the local area.
The ladies stopped for a celebratory cake and coffee by the canal, soaking in the glorious summer sunshine. Christina had a wonderful day and commented that it was the best way she could have imagined spending her birthday.
