Today at
Brindley Court in Bingham, which provides nursing care, one Resident was celebrating her 85th birthday.
Birthdays are always a special time of the year, while its not always a great reminder of growing older, it also symbolises how far somebody has come. These special days are always a cause for celebration and a great excuse to show loved ones how much they are appreciated.
This month, Joan who is a Resident at Brindley Court was celebrating her 85th birthday. Joan’s 85th year was lovingly welcome and celebrated by Colleagues at the home, where she was presented with a cake, and everybody sang happy birthday to her. As Joan suffers with Dementia, she will never leave her room as it will make her really anxious and upset. So, the team gave her a lovely surprise in her room with flowers with Relatives also joining in on the surprise.
The wellbeing team afterwards said it was very heart-warming seeing Joan’s big smile whilst everyone sang happy birthday, and she received some cards and presents.
Benette, the Home Manager said, “Happiest birthday to Joan, we wish you good health any many more returns of the day”.
