Betty, a Resident at HC-One’s Eden House care home in Bishop Auckland celebrated her 90th birthday with her family, fellow Residents and team members at the care home.
On the morning of her special birthday, Betty enjoyed a COVID-19 safe trip out with her family. Whilst Betty was out with her family, the team were preparing for an afternoon of live outdoor entertainment with a special performer.
Betty and her fellow Residents at Eden House gathered in the garden where they enjoyed a live performance from the Mayor of Bishop Auckland, Councillor Katie Elliot who sang some famous hits. Residents enjoyed singing and dancing along to the music and gave the Mayor a big round of applause at the end of her show.
A great time was had by all, especially Betty who commented that she had a lovely afternoon in the fresh air singing along with her friends.
Eden House Home Manager, Emma Wade said: “Thank you to the Mayor for her incredible performance, everyone had a wonderful day.”
