Residents and team members at HC-One’s Balcarres care home in Broughty Ferry, Dundee got in the spirit for the Grand National.
Everyone got dressed up and came together to watch the Grand National, each Resident picked a number of a horse that was racing on the day, a delicious lunch was served followed by champagne and strawberries in the lounge as the race was about to start.
Residents enjoyed cheering for their horse and shared their favourite memories of going to horse races in their younger days. The Residents who had picked the winning horse and the two runners up all received a small prize.
Balcarres Home Manager, Lynn McLean said: “It was great to see everyone getting in the spirit and enjoying their very own ‘day at the races’”.
