A day to remember at Aberdare care home

Residents and Colleagues at HC One’s Meadowlands care home, celebrated Remembrance Day.

The Aberdare care homes Residents took part in a crafting activity today to create poppy wreaths to show their respect to those who were lost in the war. 

After the Residents had finished their wreaths, they enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea whilst watching the service on TV.

The Residents and staff took part in the two minute silence to, and afterwards discussed their memories about the war and those who sacrificed their lives for us. 

Some of the Residents felt very emotional thinking back about these memories. It was a sad but lovely afternoon and a day that is very important.
