A Harvest Festival tea party at Oldbury care homeDingle Meadow care home, in Oldbury, West Midlands, have hosted a special tea party to celebrate Harvest Festival.

The home has had a collection of food and a raffle to raise money for the Residents’ fund.

Residents enjoyed sitting at the tables with fancy table cloths and china and enjoyed a glass of wine, cakes, finger sandwiches and tea.

Colleagues organised some songs to sing for Harvest, such as ‘We plough the fields’ and ‘All things bright and beautiful’. They also decorated a cart with pumpkins and a scarecrow, which the Residents absolutely loved – they named the scarecrow ‘Bill’.

Home Manager, Emma Cuttress, commented, “Residents just love to get together and have a good old chinwag. Our food collection will be donated to a homeless charity. Thank you to everyone who got involved.”
