A Jubilee to remember at Clarendon HallFor the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend, Residents at HC-One’s Clarendon Hall residential and nursing care home, in Humberston, celebrated in real style with lots of activities leading up to, and during the event, as well as a special get-together with family members.

Leading up to the Clarendon Hall party, an activity was organised by Wellbeing Coordinator Hayley Sandison, whereby Residents could make some decorations and badges to be worn on the party day.  Then the home’s Chef baked some cakes, and everyone helped to decorate them.

When party day came, a local ladies’ choir came to sing for everyone and many Residents joined in, which was just wonderful entertainment!

A beacon was planted for the Queen in the home’s newly decorated garden and then local llamas came to say hello, in a very regal way, which was indeed one of the highlights of the afternoon.

Everyone enjoyed a barbecue and catch up together and so many people in the community helped out too, including beautiful Jubilee mugs which were kindly donated to Residents by Miss Cleethorpes, a friend of the home.

Those involved loved the big get-together. Gayle Sumpter, who is a Relative, said what a brilliant day it was.

Margaret Sethi, who lives at Clarendon Hall, commented, “How wonderful the afternoon has been and so much effort has gone into it.”

Nicola Walker, Home Manager, remarked, “It is fantastic how the afternoon was and how great it was to be able to get back to some normality.”
