Lovely weather meant for Residents at
Greenways Court care home in Consett, a trip to the local garden centre was the perfect activity.
Margaret, Catherine, Maureen H and Maureen U, all Residents of the 51-bed residential and residential dementia care home, love having a trip out on the minibus and wanted to take trip down to the local garden centre.
Lintzford Garden Centre is not too far away from the home, so it is a great trip out for the Residents. The ladies had a walk about the gardens outside in the fresh air and got some lovely photos for their photo albums.
The ladies stopped for a spot of lunch in the onsite café, and they devoured the biggest strawberry tarts they had ever seen! One of the Colleagues who went along on the trip thought the ladies would never finish the desserts, but they were proved wrong and were jealous of the delicious treats.
Margaret, said, “I didn’t think I could finish the whole tart, but we all laughed when we did. I even had cream on my nose when I had finished.”
Maureen had a lovely day out and thanked all the Colleagues for the trip.
Kinga Kowaliczek, General Site Manager, added, “The ladies had a lovely trip out to the garden centre and now it is spring it is the perfect time to go!”
