Four Residents at HC-One’s
Sandon House care home, in Mossley, had a trip out to Blackpool on the home’s minibus recently and what a wonderful day to be beside the seaside.
The group from the 42-bed residential and residential dementia care home enjoyed some fish and chips, all washed down with a nice cup of tea. They got to see the illuminations on the way home and everyone reminisced about the times they spent there with their families, bringing many memories back. There was much more reminiscing about how much Blackpool had changed itself over the decades.
Bernard, who is a Resident at Sandon House, remarked, “I've had a lovely day. I remember coming here with my children and the good times we had.”
Everyone said what a lovely day they had and the cherry on top was the sing-song on the way back!
Wellbeing Coordinator Louise commented, “It's so important to keep those memories alive.”
