Meadowlands care home had a crafting session recently when Resident Liaison Manager Anne Pink kindly donated 30 knitted hearts to Meadowlands. These were all knitted by Anne herself who thought they would make such wonderful gifts.
Wellbeing Coordinator Sandra Price organised a crafting task where Residents could make a colour matching card to the heart to send to their loved ones to let them know they are okay. Care Staff assisted Residents to make the cards and everyone really enjoyed the activity; it was time well spent for both staff and Residents to engage together.
One Resident was overheard saying “oh so my daughter is going to have one as well. That’s splendid!”
Home Manager, commented, “Anne Pink was very generous in sending the knitted arts to the home, what a thoughtful idea. Fun was had by all.”
