Abermill Care Home Resident Knits Blankets to Support Premature Babies at Noah’s Ark HospitalResidents and colleagues at HC-One Wales’s Abermill Care Home in Abertridwr, Caerphilly, are celebrating the kindness and generosity of resident Mary Davies, who has been busy knitting beautiful blankets for the premature baby ward at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital.

Mary lovingly hand-crafted each blanket and personally delivered them to the ward, where staff were incredibly grateful for her thoughtful donation. The blankets will be used to provide warmth and comfort to babies and reassurance to their families during a challenging time.

One of the lead nurses at Noah’s Ark Hospital said: “The little ones will benefit from the love, care and attention that has gone into making each blanket.”

Mary’s thoughtful gesture reflects the strong sense of community at Abermill Care Home and the many ways residents continue to make a positive difference beyond the home’s walls.

Stephanie Williams, Home Manager at Abermill Care Home said:

“We are so proud of Mary and her generous spirit. Her warm heart and dedication have brought comfort to so many families, and she is an inspiration to us all.”

Everyone at Abermill Care Home would like to say a huge well done and thank you to Mary for her kindness and compassion.
