Afternoon tea with mum at Liverpool care homeOne of the Residents at West Derby residential care home, Bellefield, was over the moon when her daughters came to visit.

It was the first time Muriel’s daughters were able to come and see their mum together in months. Unfortunately, one Muriel’s other daughters could not be there due to shielding.

Relative and daughter, Lynne said, “It was so lovely, as I had been in lockdown in Wales for what felt like a lifetime. So, catching up with the family in Liverpool was amazing”

“We organised afternoon tea with mum, we brought some of her own china, which made it all so special. Mum loved the little cakes, we enjoyed a few hours of reminiscing with her, about the last time the china would have been used. It was so nice to have a cuddle, I have missed this the most.”

Jacqueline Bridge, Care Home Manager, commented, “The little cakes her daughters had bought for the little afternoon tea were just lovely and everyone was very happy, it was so nice to see,”
