The wellbeing and care teams at HC-One’s Bristol care home, Amerind Grove, arranged for an Alice in Wonderland themed day for all the Residents to enjoy today.
The day started with crafting and creating artwork to be displayed at the ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’ later in the day, see pictures. Then followed a joint jolly singalong.
In the afternoon the tea party took place. Colleagues dressed up as the Mad Hatter, Alice, the Queen of Hearts and the White Rabbit, which Residents absolutely loved. One commented, “Oh you all look lovely, how funny.” There were many pots of tea and fancy cakes, including of course Jam tarts; the Queen of Hearts favourite!
“What a lovely spread,” added another Resident.
Everyone ended the day by relaxing in the lounge watching the film ‘Alice in Wonderland’. It was a lovely day and all the Residents enjoyed themselves immensely.
Richard Sayer, Care Home Manager, remarked, “A great effort by staff, it all looks so lovely!”
