An activity rundown from July at London care homeAt Aspen Court care home in London, the whole of July 2020 was very busy for staff and Residents alike. As July approached everyone was ready to start a new month and the beginning of a new phase with Residents brighter and engaging more. Although the home is still social distancing, Residents are happy and enjoying the extra one to one care attention, so much so that their requests are keeping the team very busy!

Colleagues Debra McDonald (Debs) and Sharon Warren (Shazz) organise the activities for the home. Some of the July happenings included reminiscence through activity, gardening including maintaining the memorial space. During the outdoor activities, Residents commented on how nice it was to be outside and really enjoyed the custard tarts on one day and strawberries the next, one saying that, "It reminded them of their mum and the bakers".

One member of staff commented, “We have made plans for the rest of the year so we are looking forward to some future celebrations”.

Home Manager, Carmen Warner, remarked, “Debs and Shazz have always given their best through their activities for the Residents”.

We are looking forward to seeing what the home has planned next!
