The Residents at
Market Lavington residential, nursing and residential dementia care home, in Wiltshire, went outside to enjoy the sunshine on the afternoon of 22nd May and what a pleasant afternoon it was.
The home’s carers assisted with bringing the Residents out into the garden and some also stayed for a short while and joined in with the conversation. Everyone enjoyed each other’s company; socialising, making new friends and soaking in the sun, surrounded by the home’s beautiful garden area.
The kitchen staff provided a selection of cold drinks, milkshakes, fruit and cakes which went down very well.
Violet Lloyd, who is a Resident at Market Lavington, said, “These cakes are lovely, can I have another?”
Michaela Swiffen, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “We are hoping for more afternoons like this, it’s always so nice to be able to get our Residents outside for some fresh air.”
