The annual pantomime took place at HC-One’s Clarendon Hall care home in Grimsby this Christmas Eve, with Residents enjoying watching Colleagues from the home dress up and perform in their own version of Snow White.
Residents at Clarendon Hall have always had the pleasure of viewing the annunal pantomime near Christmas, so Collaegues were determined to keep the Clarendon tradition going, despite the current situation.
This year, Colleagues put on their own version of a Snow White pantomime for Residents, taking all precautions necessary. All Colleagues were masked, socially distanced and they also made sure Residents were too, performing multiple showings, so that Residents could view the show safely and socially distanced in groups.
"I don't know how you all have managed it, but it really made me smile”, said Clarendon Residents, Ann H.
The story of Snow White Swan, thus named because it rhymes with HC-One, was a beautifully rewritten script by the homes wellbeing coordinator, Hayley and told the tale of the dwarfs who were once wombles.
With songs and audience participation, the performance has been a huge success and Colleagues at the home are already planning for next year.
"It was lovely that despite the pandemic, we could still go ahead to bring some much needed joy to our Residents," said Stephanie, Clarendon Home Administrator.
