April activities with Nottingham ResidentsThis month at Springwater Lodge in Nottingham, which provides residential, nursing and residential dementia care, Residents have enjoyed a range of different activities.

At the beginning of April, a couple of Residents had expressed how they wanted to go out to the local pub. Katie, a Wellbeing Coordinator at Springwater Lodge took Residents Betty, Michael and June to the village’s local pub, The Admiral Rodney. All of the Residents had a wonderful time chatting with one another and other people in the pub. Michael had himself a pint of larger, Betty had an orange juice and June enjoyed a lemonade.

Later I the month when Easter rolled around, Residents came together making Easter bonnets ready for the Easter bonnet parade that happened on Easter Sunday. Some Residents didn’t take part in making the bonnets but had a lot of fun trying them on with each other. One Resident said, “It was a lot of fun trying them on and being silly!”

Residents also enjoyed getting some fake tattoos that Wellbeing Coordinator Kelly brought in. Residents said they really liked Kelly’s tattoos and wanted their own! So Kelly brought in some temporary tattoos for them to have some fun with.

Mihaela, the Home Manager went on to say, “It’s lovely seeing the Residents happy and getting out and about. The Easter decorations were really nice”.
