Avon Court Care Home Creates Unique Colouring Book Featuring Staff and ResidentsAvon Court Care Home in Chippenham, Wiltshire, has launched a bespoke colouring book featuring illustrations of its staff and residents – and it’s already proving a huge hit with the home’s community.

The idea was developed to encourage creativity, relaxation and connection among residents, while celebrating the people who make Avon Court such a special place to live and work. Each page features fun, personalised illustrations inspired by real residents and team members, giving everyone the chance to see familiar faces brought to life in a creative way.

The colouring book has been warmly welcomed by residents, many of whom enjoy creative activities as part of their daily routine. Staff have also joined in, using the book as a way to spark conversations, reminiscence and shared moments between residents and team members.

Mitchelo Kalengo, Home Manager at Avon Court Care Home, said:
“We wanted to create something that was truly unique to Avon Court and reflected our community. The colouring book has been incredibly popular and has brought lots of smiles, laughter and conversation. It’s a simple idea, but it’s had a really positive impact.”

The project forms part of Avon Court’s ongoing commitment to enriching residents’ wellbeing through engaging, person-centred activities and creative initiatives.
