Baking memories at Roxburgh House

Colleagues and Residents at Roxburgh House care home in Cradley Heath were having a lovely chat about cakes and baking at home so everyone decided that they would have a beautiful afternoon tea with homemade cupcakes. 

Residents Jean Farmer and Irene Wright joined in with the baking, one commented, “I always had a cake in the tin for visitors.” The ladies weighed out their ingredients and baked to perfection! Jean stated, “It’s been a while since I’ve done this, I baked every week [previously]”. 

Linda Wilkes, Home Manager, said, “A simple activity like baking and so many memories come flooding back. Isn’t it brilliant!”
